What a treasure trove. Current favorites: "La Bamba," trying to stay on time, and "American Girl," pacing, endlessly pacing.

Destiny's Child not surviving.

Wow, that trio. Painful, but at least they belt it out and you can hear them. Some of this people, you can't hear a thing they're saying.

Wait, what's this? I thought Creed got back together. What is Scott Stapp doing in a karaoke contest?

That guy hasn't got timing either. What is the deal? No singalongs on the school bus when growing up?

The Amy Grant lady sincerely likes her song.

Painful body language here, but the guy's been practicing.

Yeah the Amy Grant broad rules, at least with sound off after 20 seconds. The Beatless boy had Johnny Lennon spinning in his vat down Perdido way.

Now I remembah why I detest the online V Voice: you click on some groovalicious-looking tab, like "Choice Cunts" , and it's neither choice, or c*nts. Maybe "Choice Cunts do Karoake": Yes, Bob, the microphone appears to be inside the next contestant, and yes she will offering her vaginal rendition of America the Beautiful.....

Well, Creed Magnon Man has the "more of ME in my monitor, soundman" pantomime down pat. He's ready for the big time.

Apparently they can't take away his dignity.

Creed-Elvis, for Century 21.

Yellow sportscoat might help.

Don't ya step on my wingtipped- shoes.

Real estate, Elvis, and karoake grunge joke opportunities up the ying yang.

(this is all irony, right, RB? Karoake's verging near the Region of Thud, man)

I don't see that the ratio of shit to gold is different from the ratio offered by the music industry, so, uh, I dunno man.

Alright, but the Karoakers jus' retrofit the shit, mostly. Though sort of kitschy fun in right place I guess, like ventura blvd, sushi, and Sushie....

karoake muzak generally leans towards pop, or deesco, maybe some Elvis. Now if they did even say some Sinatra, hendrix, Stones, a Zappa medley.......might be interesting for a half-hour or so. Or even some old Dead ( that's sort of Mendicino trailer park karoake)

Kitschy fun is the same thing as fun.

FYI there's a woman doing "Star Me Up" in that lot, but it's not so much fun except for the screwy face she makes when she realizes immediately that she's out of her depth.

Which is more emotion than was present in the original Stones song.

I was looking for Burt Prelutsky doing "I think we're alone now" but no luck.

I've been thinking of looping the woman who does "I Think We're Alone Now" because her body language is so aggressive and assured. I hate her.
